God Contended

Israel...it's meaning..."God contended"...One who struggles or wrestles with God. Genesis 32:23-25
We are called to be the people of God, and God, Himself, named His people Israel. He called us to struggle, to wrestle, to seek Him with all of our being, with the depths that we are, 'till it pains us. We are to literally chase after Him, to love Him with all of our hearts, minds, souls and strength. Jesus told us to ask. And while we are asking, to seek. And while we are asking and seeking, to knock. (MAtthew 7:6-8)
Do we? Do we seek hard after God, or does "our Christian language pay lip service to God, but our way of functioning assume that God is dead or in a coma."? -(unknown)
Is it in Christ that we live and move and have our being? (Acts 17:28)
