The Author of Love

So, I am searching deep into the love relationship between Christ and my soul as well as meditating on the love relationship of Christ and His Church. I find it interesting how much Jesus used wedding language when he spoke. John 14:1-3 "Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (Ancient Jewish wedding language used between the soon to be groom to his betrothed.)
I think of how his Church is considered his Bride.
I think of in Isaiah 54:5 when God says "For your Maker is your husband- the LORD Almighty is his name-the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth."
And in Revelation 21:2 "I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband."
Love is a gift from God, being exquisite in charm and beauty, for God is love. We are His Bride. Though we appear to be bronken and bleeding, busted up and dirty...He sees us as spotless, radiant, washed clean...His pure spotless Bride. So, as we sit at our Lord's feet, in adoration of the Author of Love, may we learn true love from Him.
