Please pray with us

Check out the DRC country profile, it has helped educate us on the DRC...

We received our processed orphan petition in the mail yesterday, now for the fingerprints.
I taked with Jilma, and when an infant comes into the orpahnage, they will inform us. There are 2 children being adopted out of the orphanage now, one toddler and another child with special needs. We are next for an infant, but there are a couple of other families waiting after us, so please be praying for our discernment in this. If we do not accept the next infant to come in, the child will go to the next family waiting. Bill and I talked last night about the possibility of an infant coming in "tomorow", what will we do? The length of the adoption, once baby comes in, is only 3-4months long. We honestly don't feel ready for it to happen that soon, but we also don't want to live by feelings. So, we are committing to praying for unity between the two of us and for us to be in tune with God's desire for who He wants Baby Briley to be. Will you pray with us?
Also, new news, I received a call from a friend of one of my friends, whom I have met a couple of times, the other day informing me that she and her husband were now looking into adopting from the Jamma Letu orphanage as well! That is exciting for us, to think of the possibility of raising our child with a couple here in Indianapolis who may also adopt from the DRC. There is another toddler at Jamma Letu who is 18months old, who was found alone, near death, wandering the streets. This may be the child they bring home, so please be praying for this family here in Indianapolis as well.
